In 2022, Tara Stevens and Ben Baldwin set out to transform the LIVE streaming landscape. They envisioned a space where creators and artists were at the forefront, empowered by a LIVE-first approach that gave them the control to shape their content and careers. As streamers themselves, having started on Instagram in 2019 and TikTok LIVE in 2021, and working closely with established LIVE streamers, Tara and Ben saw the immense potential for creators to thrive through authentic engagement and real-time connection with their audiences. Thus, blu shift creative was born.

With a partnership with TikTok LIVE’s Creator Network, blu shift creative quickly became the premier LIVE streaming agency, offering streamers the tools, resources, and community needed to succeed. From technical support, to creative direction, and a third space where creators can collaborate with like-minded professionals, blu shift is redefining what it means to be a LIVE content creator.

Blu Shift is more than production and strategy—we believe in building a strong community and offering ongoing education. We host in-person events, from streamer parties to sessions on technical training and mental health.

Our community’s impact is clear. At TikTok LIVE Fest 2022, 25% of the nominees were from Blu Shift, with one creator winning a top award. In 2023, 22% of the Community Favorites nominees were from Blu Shift, with over 30 creators attending. Our creators also took center stage, hosting the red carpet, DJing, and performing at the event.

An avid video editor and creator, she has raised three kids as a single mother. Tara is also a student of traditional media and a registered neuroscience ICU nurse.
